Bookclub: Sway by Lauren Dane

Hellllooo Wolfpack!

It’s Bookclub time again. I know. Yehaa!

This time around we’re reading Sway by Lauren Dane. It is super yummy. I’ve already read it. You’re going to love it.

From the backcover:

Levi Warner is an established, older man—wealthy, powerful, and above all, respectable. Then Levi meets Daisy, an uninhibited 24-year-old dance instructor and artist, not exactly the kind of woman Levi is accustomed to. But the young, free spirit, brings out something in him he only experienced in fantasies. When their scorching affair turns into something unexpectedly deeper, Levi finds himself torn between preserving his reputation, and exploring a wilder and much more satisfying kind of life.

So if you’ve already started reading, let’s dive right in.

– First question –

What do you think of Levi and Daisy?

It was Daisy’s character that grabbed me and sucked me into this book. I like how eclectic she is and how confident she is. Is there anything sexier than a confident woman?

I have not finished yet but I love them so far. Daisy is great she knows what she wants and goes after it.

Yeah, I liked Daisy a lot too. She’s a go getter, but she’s not a steamroller. She’s take-it-or-leave it. And I really liked that she goes with the flow.

I loved him then hated him and now love him again. It was a great book i can not wait to get the next book.

Hated him? Which part didn’t you like? The thing that annoyed me was his preoccupation with age. I understood it, but there was a point I just wanted him to get over it.

When he left her house. I know he had to have time to think and realize he loved her but he broke her heart. It made me hurt for her. Thank goodness for great friends.

I loved the book, but Levi’s preoccupation with the age difference was a litle too long lasting. I felt for Daisy after the restuarant scene when she realized that he had kept her hidden. I think that was the start of Levi’s wake up call.

As far as Daisy goes I loved the artistic descriptives. They were breath taking and I look forward to reading a bit more as the series develops. I loved Daisy’s style, like what she wore and how she danced. Her lips sound so lovely as well as her back as it arches. However, Levi left me a bit flat in the personality department. If he really thought Daisy was that young would he try some of the BDSM he did? He seemed to over think her age and then forget about it when the sexual opportunity arrived. Worried? Not so much me thinks :).
